As Managing Director, Head of Investment Strategy, Sustainability and Asset Management, Polina provides strategic guidance, oversight, and support to the Investments leadership team, centrally focused on asset management, articulation and execution of investment strategies, and the Responsible Investing strategy and integration. Polina joined IMCO in 2020 as the Senior Principal of Infrastructure Funds and Asset Management.

Polina has over 20 years of principal investing, advisory and asset management experience. Previously, she worked at CPP Investments with the global Portfolio Value Creation team where she was responsible for identifying and realizing value creation opportunities across the firm’s infrastructure, natural resources, private equity, and real estate programs.

Prior to CPP Investments, Polina was a Partner with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in San Francisco, Boston, and Toronto, where she provided strategic, growth, restructuring and cost efficiency advice to some of the world’s leading companies.Polina holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an ICD.D designation.

Sarah Birt

Managing Director, Business Management & Strategic Initiatives |

Sarah is a Managing Director at TSX Trust Company. Overseeing the Business Management Office, Sarah leads the effective execution of strategic initiatives and organizational improvements through coaching, thought leadership, and management skills development with a focus on identifying and prioritizing objectives that align with the TSX Trust’s Purpose, Vision and Mission. Sarah has 30 plus years of combined experience within Financial Services, Technology, Strategy and People Management, acting as a change catalyst by leveraging her background in project management, software development and agile processes in addition to driving continuous process improvement using CMMI, ITIL and Lean methodologies. Sarah is a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified Scrum Master (CSM), is ITIL Foundation certified and holds a certificate in Human Resource Management. In addition, Sarah has completed executive level training via McGill and McMaster Universities in contract management,negotiations and strategic planning.

Ijeoma Madueke

CFA, Executive Director, Sustainable Finance | CIBC Capital Markets

Ijeoma is an Executive Director, Sustainable Finance at CIBC Capital Markets where she provides subject matter expertise and advises clients on strategies to overlay ESG into their capital structure across public and private markets. Her career has spanned sustainability, corporate and investment banking as well as M&A in various capacities and across different geographic regions. Ijeoma joined CIBC from Sustainalytics, an ESG research and ratings firm, where she was Regional Lead for the Americas Opinions team. In this capacity, she was responsible for the technical assessment of second party opinions on green, social, sustainable and transition finance frameworks across use of proceeds and sustainability-linked instruments across a variety of sectors and geographies. She is a member of the Canadian Advocacy Council (CFA Societies Canada) which advances investor protection, industry professionalism, market integrity and transparency. As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, Ijeoma has authored various pieces on equity and is a mentor with the Black Business Ventures Association and Women in Capital Markets. Ijeoma holds an MSc. in International Business and Finance from the University of Dundee, Scotland as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Carleton University.
