Panel

Alexia Campan

Equity Research Analyst | CDPQ

Alexia joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec’s Equity Research team in 2021 where she covered several industries before undertaking the role of Senior Analyst within the Industrials, Resources & Utilities sector, covering global large cap equities.

She worked on a variety of due diligence projects ranging from Intuitive Surgical, pioneer and leader in robotic equipment for minimally invasive surgeries, to the biggest global car manufacturer Toyota Motor. She also led a project to automate some of her department's daily tasks using Python.

After completing her French baccalaureate near Paris, Alexia moved to Montreal to attend McGill University where she graduated with a B.B.A in Finance and Business Analytics. She is currently working towards becoming a CFA Charterholder.

Gabriel Hamelin

Private Equity Associate | PSP

Gabriel joined PSP Investments in early 2022 as an Associate in the Private Equity team. He previously worked in Investment Banking at Desjardins Capital Markets in the diversified team based in Montreal.

PSP’s Private Equity team builds strategic relationships with external fund managers leveraging their network and expertise to source long-term investment opportunities. In the course of his work, Gabriel is involved in: i) Monitoring portfolio companies and funds; ii) Covering the Healthcare sector; and iii) Reviewing and executing potential investment opportunities. More recently he worked on PSP’s acquisition of a stake in CrossCountry Consulting, a leading global business advisory firm.

Gabriel graduated from HEC Montreal in 2019 with a B.A.A. in Finance.

Mai Ly Laukens

Credit Investments Senior Analyst | PSP

Mai Ly joined PSP Investments in 2021 and is a Senior Analyst in the Credit Investments team.

She works in a deal-based group which leads, structures and anchors private debt transactions for leading PE sponsors. She has reviewed 40 different transactions across multiple sectors, mostly for LBOs, and is responsible for end-to-end investment due diligence as well as monitoring of portfolio companies.

Mai Ly graduated from McGill University, Desautels Faculty of Management with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Business Analytics.

Simon Campbell, CFA

Investment Banking Associate | TD Securities

Simon joined TD Securities in 2019 and is an Associate in the Montreal-based Investment Banking team.

He worked on a variety of M&A and capital markets transactions. Recent mandates include advising CAE on its acquisition of Sabre's AirCentre Suite Operations, TorQuest on its sale of Polycor to Birch Hill, and Bernard Industries on the sale to Bain Capital & Valeo Foods.

Simon graduated from HEC Montreal with a B.B.A. in Finance and is a CFA Charterholder.
