Kirsten joined Leith Wheeler in May of 2014. At Leith Wheeler, she provides advice to individual investors and supports the management of Private Client and Foundation accounts. In addition to her involvement with Women in Capital Markets, Kirsten is a volunteer and member of the Vancouver CFA Society. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Julia Ferreira has +9 years of experience in investment management, as total portfolio, fixed income, public and private equity, mutual funds, and hedge funds analyst (both fundamental qualitative and quantitative research).
Julia works at UBC IMANT, responsible for managing University of British Columbia’s investment portfolios with an AUM of over $4 billion. At UBC IMANT, Julia provides investment management expertise through a manager of managers fundamentalist approach and quantitative total portfolio analysis. Julia holds a MSc in Finance from the BEEDIE School of Business Simon Fraser University and a BSc in Economics from PUC-RIO Brazil.

Mal Karwowska has 10 years of experience in finance specific to the mining sector, most recently as an Investment Manager at Pacific Road Capital in Vancouver. Her previous roles included Business Development Director at Oxygen Capital Corp., Senior Investment Research Analyst at Liberty Metals & Mining Holdings, LLC in Boston as well as over five years at National Bank Financial in the investment banking group in Vancouver. Mal holds a BCom from the Sauder School of Business at UBC.
Background: Hedge Fund & Mining and Metals Equity Research Elvin is a research analyst for the Delbrook team. He is focused on tracking the fundamental dynamics of the commodity sector as well as company specific research. Elvin joined Delbrook as an intern in the summer of 2017, before joining the firm in a full-time capacity in early 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from the Bocconi University in Milan and a Master of Science in Finance degree from Simon Fraser University. While at Simon Fraser, he served as an equity research analyst for Canada`s largest student-run endowment fund. Elvin is a CFA candidate.
Background: Corporate Banking Huan works for HSBC Global Banking and Markets as a corporate banking analyst in the Vancouver office. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honor) degree from UBC with dual concentrations in Finance and Business Technology Management. Huan is involved in the hiring process for HSBC and would be happy to share her experience with aspiring candidates.

Lisa is Associate Vice President, Capital Markets at Neighbourhood Holdings, a private residential mortgage fund. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA) by trade, having began her career at Ernst & Young in the the Assurance and Transaction Advisory practices. Following her time at EY, Lisa joined Equity Research at RBC Capital Markets where she covered two sectors: Diversified Financials and Energy Infrastructure. Prior to joining Neighbourhood Holdings, Lisa worked in Leveraged Finance where she helped various private equity funds secure debt financing in support of acquisitions.

Parul is currently working as Fixed income analyst at PenderFund Capital Management since December 2015.
Ms. Garg started her career as a Software Engineer, focusing on projects in the financial domain. She then worked as a Fixed Income Derivative Analyst for two years at a private investment firm in India. She worked in Product Development with the Business Development Team for the Fixed Income Markets at the MCX Stock Exchange in India for a year and a half before moving to Vancouver in 2014 to start her MBA. Ms. Garg has a Bachelors of Technology in Civil Engineering from NIT Surat in India, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University,

Felicia has experience in equity research and commercial banking focusing on industrial and diversified industries. She graduated with a BCom from the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business. In her current role, she covers the infrastructure and construction sector.

Mathilde is an analyst in Scotiabank's Consumer, Industrial, and Retail Investment Banking group. During her time there she has supported her team in sell-side M&A and lead financing transactions. Prior to her role with Scotiabank, she was a teaching assistant for Financial & Managerial Accounting and led a one-month business entrepreneurship workshop in Kenya. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a specialization in Finance (Honours). In her free time she loves cycling, hiking, and camping.
Brianne Gardner has spent the past five years understanding and managing the unique financial complexity facing individuals, families, family offices and institutions. Brianne is an Investment Advisor and provides first-class service to clients using her years of experience working closely with families who have complex financial needs.
She began her career in wealth management at Richardson GMP in 2014 after receiving her MBA specialized in Finance from Bond University in Australia. She has been in the investment industry working with high-net worth clients for the past 5 years working within the top teams in Canada. Prior to joining the finance industry, Brianne worked alongside Fortune 100 companies at an agency, utilizing her strong background in sales and marketing before pursuing her passion in wealth management. She is currently working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation to enhance her ability to provide clients with the best financial advice possible.
In her spare time, Brianne acts as a mentor to young women in business and has always been an active member of her community and a philanthropist through her membership in professional associations and charitable organizations such as Women in Capital Markets, Young Women in Business, SFU Beedie School of Business Mentorship program and ReThink Breast Cancer.
Brianne is originally from Toronto, Ontario and moved to the west coast in 2016. In her free time she enjoys traveling and leading an active lifestyle through volleyball, skiing and hiking.
