UniConnect: Speed Mentoring

This event is being offered to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree program in business, STEM, or a related field.

Students will have the opportunity to seek professional guidance from, and network with, capital markets & investment management professionals with diverse backgrounds. Participants may discuss career management and advancement, gain insights on specific topics related to these fields, and learn from the experiences of accomplished professionals in the industry.

During the event, participants will engage in a structured mentoring session, which will be followed by informal networking with industry professionals.

Our mentors are accomplished professionals from diverse areas from both buy-side & sell-side firms in Finance, including:

Craig Ferguson

Managing Director, Manulife Capital

As a Managing Director of Manulife Capital, Craig Ferguson is responsible for transaction origination, execution and portfolio management of private equity and mezzanine investments, including direct investments and fund investments. Craig is on the Board of Directors of several companies and Advisory Boards of investment funds in Canada and the U.S. Craig joined Manulife Capital in 2011 and has over 15 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Manulife Capital, Craig was with McKenna Gale Capital, where he was involved with originating, structuring, and managing private equity and mezzanine investments. Previously Craig also worked in the lending groups of GE Capital and CIT Group, after having begun his career with KPMG. Craig holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Chartered Accountant, and a CFA charterholder.
