WCM Mentor Lunch & Learns are an opportunity for a small number of professionals to meet informally with a female leader in the industry over a round-table lunch. The mentor will share experiences, insights and advice with professionals from the early stages of their financial industry or capital markets careers. 

Alicia Quinn

Director, Corporate Banking, Scotiabank

Alicia has 17 years of progressive experience in capital markets, she has held four different Director level roles in Corporate Banking, Risk Management, Corporate Development and Global Banking Payments.  Alicia is a Director in the Credit Analytics team within Corporate Banking. In addition to managing a large portfolio of non-lending accounts, she is actively involved in the management, coaching and mentoring of more than 20 analysts. She is also involved in some risk, process and training related initiatives impacting Corporate Banking. 

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and an International MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Throughout her career, Alicia has committed time to a variety of initiatives focused on coaching and developing talent, most recently as a mentor through Global Banking & Markets’ Parental Advisor Liaison program (mentor program for those on parental leave).

Jennifer Long

Director, Global Capital Markets, Relationship Management, Scotiabank

Jennifer is a Director in Global Capital Markets Relationship Management. She has held progressively senior roles in GBM over the past ten years. In her current role, Jennifer is responsible for providing global coverage to U.S. and European Money Centre Banks in a relationship management capacity. She also provides local coverage to foreign Asia-Pacific money centre banks with a presence in Canada.

Jennifer holds a BSc (Science and Business) from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Jennifer is an advocate for mentoring young professionals entering the capital markets. She supports both WCM and GBM mentorship programs, in addition to providing informal mentoring to her alma maters.
