Lindsay Patrick

Managing Director and Head of Strategic Initiatives and ESG

Lindsay Patrick is Managing Director and Head of Strategic Initiatives and ESG at RBC Capital Markets. She leads the Sustainable Finance Group, and with her team, spearheads the and corporate clients across all areas of sustainable finance that incorporates both environmental and social perspectives. Lindsay is also responsible for the advancement of the RBC Capital Markets’ business strategy, supporting the firm’s overall growth and performance ambitions. Lindsay has two decades experience in investment banking, spanning trading floors across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. She began her career with RBC Capital Markets in overseas with a global bank in London, where she held a variety of positions, including the Head of Global Equity Sales and Director of Macro Sales within its Global Equity Derivatives
Markets as the Global ETF Strategist before launching the Sustainable Finance Group.

Lindsay is active within RBC and the industry in advancing important initiatives related to Diversity and Inclusion and is a mentor to numerous colleagues, supporting their growth and development. Lindsay received her MBA with Honours in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, her BBA with Honours in International Business from
Bishop’s University, Certificate in ESG Investing. Lindsay represents RBC on the Advisory Board for the Institute of Sustainable Finance and is recognized as leader in sustainability in Canada as a Clean50 Ho community and serves on Investment Committee for the Oakville Community Foundation. Lindsay is the proud mother of four boys.

Cilise Connell

Director, Business Transformation & Governance

Cilise is a Director within the Business Transformation & Governance team at RBC Capital Markets. In her role as Front Office Project Delivery lead, she is responsible for leading and managing the Front Office working group key milestones as part of RBC’s Interest Rates Derivatives Replacement Platform Initiative - Project Darwin. Throughout her 8.5 year career with RBC, Cilise has worked on a variety of revenue generating and process efficiency projects for Interest Rates Derivatives and other asset classes, which gave her exposure to various business lines and functions.
In addition to her role, Cilise is actively involved with a number of diversity initiatives at RBC. Cilise is a member of the Canadian Diversity Leadership Council (CDLC) which focuses on advancing Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and Strategy across RBC Capital Markets Canada. In 2020, Cilise co created the “Getting Comfortable with Uncomfortable Conversation” series – a series of conversations that help RBC CM employees develop their skills to initiate uncomfortable conversations that are positive and productive.

From 2018-2020, Cilise was a Co-Chair of RBC Capital Markets’ gender diversity employee resource group, RWomen Canada. RWomen’s mission is to promote gender diversity and inclusion at RBC Capital Markets through advocacy & awareness, community involvement, ongoing education and networking opportunities. Cilise is also a RBC Academy facilitator and a RBC Ladies who Lunch mentor; both programs work to provide support and mentorship for high school students.
In 2019, Cilise received the Women in Capital Markets Rising Star Award, which honours high-performing female professionals whose leadership and social responsibility endeavors have had a significant impact on the industry.

In 2009, Cilise moved to Canada from Trinidad & Tobago to attend the University of New Brunswick, and she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
