About Covenant House Vancouver
Covenant House Vancouver provides love and hope to Vancouver's homeless and at-risk street youth. They help young people aged 16 to 24 who have fled physical, emotional and sexual abuse; those who have been forced from their homes; and those who have aged out of foster care. Covenant House assists with shelter, clothing, food, addiction assistance, finishing their education and a way for them to look for jobs. It is an amazing organization that helps more than 2000 youths in Vancouver every year.
This event had a lasting impact on me as it gave me an understanding of some of the hardships faced by today’s youth. It is not easy to find yourself homeless and it is even harder to get out of the cycle of poverty on your own. Covenant House and the work that they do is an essential service in our community.
