You Should Smile More is the How-To Guide for Inclusive Leaders.
“In the business world, barriers to inclusion are barriers to success,” states a line from the introduction of this powerful unconscious bias book. “Diversity breeds better solutions faster if people feel comfortable in their environment.” From small indignities to unconscious slights, women experience situations at work every day that may seem small or unimportant. But these barriers erode confidence and build walls, one grain of sand at a time.
You Should Smile More makes it easy to understand and talk about unconscious bias with practical advice for witnesses, managers, and women at every level in their careers on how to dismantle everyday unconscious gender bias. Grounded in data from the latest research as well as the relevance of personal accounts from the authors and interviews with next-gen professional women, the book is designed to engage all genders through humor and storytelling - and encourage allyship.
