Fostering the Next Generation of Leaders in Business and STEM
Since 1996, WCM's High School Programming aims to educate young women and gender-diverse students and encourage them to explore the rewarding career opportunities available in the disciplines of business, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Our programming focuses on providing students with role models, education and resources to discover the possibilities that a STEM education can offer them.
WCM High School Program Includes:
WCM In2Fin (formerly SheBiz) | In2Fin is a free half-day event for students in grade 9 - 12 that offers unique access to business and STEM leaders and exposure to diverse and exciting career opportunities available in these fields. Since its inception in 2012, this event has inspired countless students to pursue academic and career paths in these disciplines.
WCM Job Shadow Day | Developed in 2004 and designed for senior female high school students with an interest in business or finance, this free day-long program includes a morning of interactive sessions and panels led by industry leaders, followed by an afternoon with a professional mentor at one of our sponsor firms.
High School Educational Video Series | "5 Questions With.." Online educational content on the capital markets industry, designed for high school students across the country. Featuring 11 women working in various areas of capital markets, sharing their paths from school to the jobs they hold today.
In order to truly diversify the talent pool in these sectors, knowledge is power and we are empowering today's generation of future leaders through our high school programming. By sharing knowledge, creating accessible resources and offering exposure to the assortment of careers and role models in the industry, students are given the tools, resources and knowledge to put their future career path in motion.
