The Return to Bay Street Award is designed to help professional women re-launch their careers in the Canadian capital markets after an extended period of absence from the industry. WCM works with a broad group of Canadian financial institutions to offer this award and employment contract to qualified women, in preparation to re-launch a full-time career in the Canadian capital markets industry.
The initiative brings women who have taken the time away from the industry back to rewarding careers in the capital markets industry. Over the past four years, this program has brought 34 women back to senior roles in the industry. The Return to Bay Street initiative was founded in late 2010 with BMO Capital Markets as a partner through its Equity Through Education Program. Support for the program has only continued to grow. Since then, CIBC, Deloitte, GMP Securities, National Bank, RBC Capital Markets, RBC Global Asset Management, RBC Wealth Management, Scotiabank, and TD Securities have joined our efforts. All involved agree that the Return to Bay Street program has created a valuable pipeline for senior roles in the capital markets industry.

Applications for our 2017/18 RTBS program closed on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 5PM. The application includes the following components:
February 24, 2017: Early-Bird Registration Deadline for RTBS Workshops
March 1, 2017: RTBS Award Applications open
March 23, 2017: RTBS Information & Skill-Building Workshop in Toronto
April 13, 2017: RTBS Award Application Deadline
Early May: Successful applicants will be notified regarding interviews
Early June: First & second round of interviews
July/September 2017: Minimum 4-month contract begins
