Monday, August 14, 2017 – Women in Capital Markets (WCM) announced today the resignation of Ms. Jennifer Reynolds, WCM President & CEO, after more than four years in the role.
"Serving as WCM's President & CEO has been a privilege," said Ms. Reynolds, "I am honored and proud to have worked with our staff, volunteers, members, and stakeholders to advance women in the financial industry and increase the representation of women in senior leadership roles in the Canadian economy."
Effective October 2, 2017, Ms. Reynolds will assume the position of President & CEO, of the Toronto Financial Services Alliance (TFSA). WCM Board Chair Mari Jensen wished Ms. Reynolds the very best for the future in her new role and thanked her for her enormous contributions to the growth and impact of WCM.
"Since being named WCM's President & CEO in 2013, Jennifer has rapidly expanded WCM's brand and reach to our members, sponsors and the Canadian capital markets," said Ms. Jensen. "She has improved the engagement of men in the dialogue on gender diversity which is critical to our collective success. Under her leadership, WCM has been a strong advocate for women at all levels in the industry."
The Board of Directors is working closely with WCM's executive team to manage the transition and a search for a new leader has been launched. In the interim, effective September 5th, 2017, Ms. Jeannie Collins-Ardern has been appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as Interim President & CEO. Jeannie has been a WCM board member for 2 years and has over 10 years' of board experience. She has over 30 years' experience in the capital markets, having held positions at the Bank of Canada, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Manulife and the CFA Institute. Jeannie has a MA Economics degree from the University of Toronto and holds the designations of Institute of Corporate Directors, Director, Chartered Financial Analyst, and Certified Financial Risk Manager.
