With a solid foundation of investment analysis, you are ready to dive deep into impact investing. You want to grow your expertise in both impact and financial due diligence of private investment assets, as part of a dynamic and growing team.
Rally Assets’ Senior Associate, Private Investment Research will provide essential decision-making investment research to Rally’s portfolio managers, working across the investment and client teams. Getting to know fund managers across Canada and globally, the Senior Associate, Private Investment Research will connect the supply of impact capital to demand, in order to move more capital to impact.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Work closely with private impact investment research team to source new opportunities, maintain a database of products, and conduct due diligence
- Support client engagements including mandates for investment search and due diligence, impact reporting and portfolio management. Such engagements will require accountability for client deliverables, processes, and budget management
- Manage relationships with various Fund Managers and product issuers
- Find ways to improve the rigor of our due diligence process
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders such as client services, compliance and impact reporting
- Support new initiatives such as market research reports
- Continuing to refine and improve our service offering and processes through the ongoing capturing and retention of developed IP and best practices
- Communicating the firm’s service offerings and market leadership to new networks and partners
- Developing and implementing strategic priorities and collaborative projects with the firm’s leadership
Required Skill / Experience
On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate the following:
- 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in social impact, impact investing, investment banking, or private equity, with interdisciplinary experience across both social impact issues and financial analysis preferred
- Detailed understanding of the investment and fund management process, private markets experience is a must
- Experience providing financial, modelling and business analysis to assess viability of the Fund, business model, stress testing, return profile and market trend analysis
- Strong commitment to and/or experience embedding social equity into investment practices
- Experience working with a range of investors such as foundations, families, high net worth individuals, corporates and financial institutions
- Demonstrable strong project management and organizational skills
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience. Relevant professional credentials (CFA etc.) or a Master level education is an asset
- You are English-French bilingual (essential)
- You are legally able to work in Canada
