Position Description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) department plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the business. We are responsible for developing and implementing a global Data Management model and Data Governance organization to support our fund management, trading, regulatory and operational areas with high quality data obtained from trusted and resilient sources.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Manager, Market Data Operations, you’ll:

Oversee the Market Data Operations team, includes day-to-day demand management and administrative inquiries from internal business units, including but not limited to:

  • data/sourcing requests
  • contract negotiation,
  • entitlement administration & exchange reporting,
  • moves/adds/changes requests, inventory management,
  • expense allocation, invoices reconciliation, and spend reporting
  • Review current operations processes & procedures with the intention of continuously improving and optimizing overall Market Data Operations
  • Manage a team of professionals by fostering their development and supporting their performance; and provide guidance, direction and coaching to ensure objectives are met
  • Remain abreast of TRG Screen FITS /Optimize platform with current and future system enhancements
  • Conduct regular internal team meetings to report on client SLA/SLO and to ensure all client service deliverables are being met and completed.
  • Lead the inventory management process of leavers/joiners, ensure current inventory is accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee the reconciliation invoices and validation of monthly allocations/expenses.
  • Manage monthly/quarterly exchange reporting and ensure exchange policies and data compliance across the client’s end-users and applications (BBG EMRS)
  • Review spend and enact cost savings and avoidance initiatives, understand their products/services and respond to any inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain reports on costs and identify ways to consolidate spend.
  • Maintain PowerBI reporting solution for real-time reporting as well as enhance on reporting criteria and fields.

Required Skill / Experience

  • Experience with Market Data Management Systems (FITS TRG)

  • 7-10 years of Market Data Management

  • Previous experience managing a team is considered a strong asset

  • Experience and knowledge of financial markets

  • Experience with Security Master, Pricing/valuation, Analytics and Fundamental data related products

  • Extensive understanding of Risk, Trading and Portfolio Management systems

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to sustain relationships.

  • Solid negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent analytical and research ability.

  • Solid oral and written communication skills

  • Bilingualism required
