The Institutional Sales & Service Associate will be client focused and responsible for providing high-quality service to Institutional clients, in close partnership with various internal stakeholders.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the role?:
- Day-to-day management of client relationships for Institutional clients in Canada.
- Manage and respond to requests from clients, collaborating with internal partners to ensure client’s expectations are met and responses are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Provide insights to the distribution team to improve the client experience and develop process efficiencies.
Sales & Service Support
- Manage workflow of RFPs and DDQs received by Franklin Templeton to ensure completeness and accuracy of response.
- Coordinate due diligence, client meetings and presentations, reporting, and other materials as required for clients, consultants and prospects.
- Build relationships with Institutional clients, understand client requests, respond to inquiries and provide value-add support to the Sales team – establishes oneself as a secondary contact.
- Proactively work with Institutional relationship managers to provide sales/client support, include updating clients/prospects contact information as required on CRM.
- Support regular compliance review exercise, as well as maintaining servicing related client contact information on CRM.
- Take ownership of delivering best client engagement experience and open to workflows change ideas to drive efficiencies.
- Ad-hoc support as needed to support Canada Distribution.

Required Skill / Experience
- University degree or equivalent relevant financial services industry experience
- 5 years’ experience in the mutual fund, banking, or securities industry
- Canadian Securities Course preferred.
- Bilingual (French/English) is considered a strong asset.
- A sales/ marketing mindset with the ability to identify client needs and position solutions that address those needs.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong multi-tasker who can respond rapidly and effectively to requests.
- Positive and proactive approach
- Strong computer proficiency, including with Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Adhere to established time frames and schedules; ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
