Position Description

What we are looking for:

The Client Portfolio Manager acts as an extension of, and a proxy for, the Fiera Active & Strategic Fixed Income investment team. This key hire is responsible for independently driving new sales and client retention by working closely with the sales teams. The candidate will demonstrate subject matter expertise and articulate the respective investment philosophies and processes associated with our investment capabilities during prospect meetings, finals presentations, consultant meetings and client portfolio reviews. This key professional also drives the development of research, analysis, competitive intelligence and thought leadership.

Your responsibilities:

Key functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive new sales and client retention effectively for the ASFI investment strategies:
    • Execute business development plan co-developed with senior ASFI team members.
    • Take the lead on all customer service activities (KYC) in close collaboration with the various IPMs assigned to ASFI customers.
    • Engage in client / consultant meetings (current and new), in collaboration with the sales team and ASFI team members.
    • More generally, participate in the evolution of ASFI in the realization of its short- and long-term strategic plan, for the benefit of its members, customers and the entire Fiera Capital organization.

Monitor ASFI investment solutions through recurring internal/external communications:

  • Produce and update all tools, documents, and databases essential to the smooth operation of the ASFI team's business development and customer service activities.
  • Explain ASFI's investment strategies, at a level similar to that of a PM, while keeping an eye on industry trends and potential implications for our service offering.
  • Collaborate daily with other Fiera Capital teams to educate, inform, clarify and coordinate business development and customer service efforts.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the RFP process and client communications from a team perspective, including database management and preliminary answers, minimizing Portfolio Manager involvement.
  • Coordinate roadshow logistics.
  • Administer consultant and client questionnaires and requests.
