Position Description

What you’ll be doing

When you join the Client Strategy, Marketing team as a Co-Op student, you will be making a real difference for our global CIBC Capital Markets clients, our team and our community. You will be using your strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist our team with several different projects and priorities in Marketing, Sponsorship and Events.

As a Client Strategy Analyst, you will have an opportunity to assist the team with analyzing and researching the competitive landscape. You’ll be managing various client focused databases and helping to coordinate our marketing collateral for our various lines of businesses and client communications. In addition, you’ll be able to help with executing sponsorships for Capital Markets which will allow you to grow your community network.

Required Skill / Experience

How you’ll succeed

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field. You must be available for an 8-month term. You are on track to complete your undergrad program no sooner than April 2025.
  • Research and analytics - Provide a broad range of analytical, research and presentation preparation support to the team.
  • Project management - Take the lead on a variety of one-off projects and be responsible for a series of daily, weekly and monthly tasks that you will be expected to manage. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities are a necessity.
  • Relationship management - Gain exposure to working with individuals from various groups across the firm and our team approach to executing on projects is designed to provide progressive on the job training.
  • Communications - Strong communication skills, in both written and verbal form. You can distill complex information to simple and concise messaging for audiences of all levels can understand.
