Position Description

The Business Development Manager, Sales will work closely with the Vice President, Sales to manage a region of existing and prospective Investment Advisors in Toronto, the Northern GTA and Northern Ontario. The Business Development Manager will work successfully in a team environment and build effective and collaborative working relationships inside and outside the team while maintaining professionalism and a passion for sales. This role reports to the Vice President, National Accounts.

This is a full-time role working from the Toronto offices of Lysander Funds.


  • Service an established territory of CIRO Investment Advisor teams with the Vice President, Sales.
  • Conduct client meetings by phone, video and in person to develop business relationships with advisors.
  • Support the Vice President, Sales by forming relationships with advisors, planning territory service strategy, and booking meetings.
  • Assist with territory campaigns through pro-active contact and relationship building with prospective investment advisors.
  • Manage territory database and email marketing through MS Dynamics CRM.
  • Enhance the reputation of Lysander Funds through ethical business practices and a dedication to client service.

Required Skill / Experience

  • Exceptional time management and organization skill.
  • Previous fund wholesaling experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience conducting outbound sales calls.
  • Comfort with MS office suite and ability to learn new systems.
