We are looking for an experienced individual to join our dynamic Investment Management team. The Investment Management team covers a variety of asset classes and mandates, using their collective industry and globally diversified cultural backgrounds to help locate opportunities unrecognized by the market. About the Role
In this role, you will leverage your existing knowledge of equity and fixed income funds, including fundamental and quantitative strategies to make a meaningful impact on sales and retention initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be supporting AGF’s fundamental and quantitative mandates, in addition to playing a lead role in supporting other mandates as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the inflow of questions and requests from sales and the RFP group on investment products; draft RFP responses and verify with the appropriate AGF personnel prior to submission
- Manage internal/external meeting preparation, including presentation materials for portfolio managers and sales staff
- Compose and support other stakeholders in the creation of regular commentaries on AGF investment mandates for sales teams, advisors, and investors
- Stay up-to-date on portfolio positioning and market trends for use in creating regular internal investment communications and ad-hoc notes
- Write product-specific market outlooks, insights and white papers
- Lead internal and external meetings with the respective teams, external strategists and portfolio-held companies
- Lead meetings and interactions with existing and prospective clients covering market overview, portfolio positioning/attribution and thematic outlook

Required Skill / Experience
- 5+ years experience with fundamental equity, fixed income or quantitative fund investment themes is required
- Institutional writing experience an asset
- Completion of or interest in pursuing CSC or CFA designation an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated understanding of the investment management industry and investment products
- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
- Adherence to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Undergraduate degree required
