Position Description
The Credit Investments (CI) department is responsible for CPP Investments’ public and private credit investments globally. The CI Business Management group leads business management activities that support the operations of CI in an efficient and effective manner.
We are recruiting an Analyst/Senior Analyst, Business Management within the CI department. The Analyst/Senior Analyst will contribute to key deliverables related to management reporting and department operations and support the maintenance of internal systems and investment data. The role involves working collaboratively with CI investment teams and other groups and departments across CPP Investments.
Role- Specific Accountabilities:
Management Reporting:
- Further develop and maintain Tableau dashboards to track budget and operating expenses for the department
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations including portfolio analysis and general department and credit market updates
- Utilize tools and technology to enhance and automate existing reports and analysis
Department Operations:
- Support CI investment committee processes
- Manage updates to department policies and procedures, and handle related inquiries
- Gather necessary information to support internal and external auditing requirements
- Assist with other operational duties as assigned
Systems & Data:
- Coordinate departmental data requirements including market data and subscriptions
- Contribute to the ongoing collection and review of critical data elements relevant to portfolio holdings
- Provide relevant data and ad-hoc analysis to support Business Management and investment decisions
- Support the maintenance and development of credit systems and tools through requirements gathering quality assurance testing and training
Required Skill / Experience
- 2+ years of finance and/or investment related experience; credit experience is a definite asset
- Experience in Tableau dashboard development, and keen on learning new applications and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges
- Highly organized with ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Proven attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture
