Job Shadow Day

Every year since 2004, Women in Capital Markets has invited high schools in the GTA to send up to two female students in Grade 12 to spend a day on Bay Street.

Job Shadow Day is a free, day-long event, featuring interactive workshops, networking and mentoring sessions, presentations profiling women with diverse careers in the capital markets, and an afternoon of job shadowing with a mentor who works in the industry. Past Job Shadow Days have been a tremendous success as they have given students a first-hand view of the exciting careers in capital markets.

This year, we are thrilled to have BMO as the Job Shadow Day sponsor institution.

How to Register:

  • One teacher from each high school must select and nominate a maximum of two of their school's top female Grade 12 students who have applied to a Business or related university program (ie. Math, Accounting, Law or Economics).
  • The Sponsor Teacher is responsible for registering the two selected students on March 5, 2018.
  • Note: the Sponsor Teacher does not accompany the students to this event. However, the Sponsor Teachers are required to support the students attendance.
  • Upon successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the Sponsor Teacher, and the two Grade 12 Students who have successfully registered for the event.

A light continental breakfast and a lunch will be provided to all students attending Job Shadow Day. (Please advise dietary restrictions upon registration.)
