Reaching High-Potential Women Early

The Emerging Leaders Award Program provides high-potential women with a unique and valuable developmental opportunity that will help them plan their careers, equip themselves to compete for progressively more senior roles and break through to the next level in their careers. This six-month program offers women with five to ten years of capital markets experience personal and group professional coaching sessions with our esteemed coaching partner. The program includes:

  • a personal professional assessment through the Facet 5;
  • group coaching sessions with the peers in the Emerging Leaders program;
  • skill building sessions, including a panel with senior leaders in the industry;
  • excellent networking opportunity with other mid-level career women;
  • and two individual coaching sessions.

Candidates must be able to commit to completing the pre-work and be available to attend group sessions over a 6-month period from September 2018 to February 2019. Once the winners are selected, a program guide will be provided to outline the time-period and expectations. This program is open to candidates across Canada, and we encourage candidates from outside of Toronto to apply and participate. In-person coaching sessions will be held in Toronto, but arrangements will be made to allow out of town participants to engage. Out of town participants are invited to attend any in-person event in Toronto, but WCM is unable to cover travel expenses.

The Emerging Leaders Award Program is designed to support the development of high potential women into more leadership roles in the industry. To date, 61 women have completed the Emerging Leaders Award Program and moved on to great successes in their careers.
