United Kingdom House of Commons | June 07, 2018

In October 2017, the House of Commons Treasury Committee was commissioned to report on the status of women in finance in the UK. Some major findings include: There is a clear underrepresentation of women in senior positions in the financial services sector; The bonus culture in the financial services sector remains a deterrent for women and many are disadvantaged by it; and The Government should consider expanding gender pay gap reporting to encompass reporting by job role and by corporate function, to offer greater transparency.
