It's been a busy few weeks at WCM, we partnered with many organizations and individuals to continue the mission of accelerating equality across the finance industry. 

WCM Awards - Congratulations to the 2020 WCM Award recipients! The WCM Awards are a platform for the industry to showcase and recognize excellence in leadership, on an individual and firm level. This year's awards recognize women rising through the ranks into senior leadership, outstanding volunteers that contribute to the work of WCM, and innovators in the diversity and inclusion space. Equity Equation & Rotman's Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) Panel - Last week, WCM co-hosted a lively and engaging panel with Rotman GATE. Executives from across the financial industry discussed topics around diversity in the financial sector covered in WCM's recently released research paper, The Equity Equation.

Virtual Networking Round Table - On November 24th, WCM members gathered to engage with 10 expert speakers on a wide range of topics within Capital Markets. Thank you to our amazing panel of experts Boris Nikic, Brad Meiers, Frances Donald, Jennifer Hartviksen, Jennifer Ocampo-King, Lindsay Patrick, Mari Jensen, Mary Vitug, Sheryl Holmes, Sandra Bosela and all the WCM members who joined us.

SheBiz - On November 25th, WCM virtually hosted 1400  female high school students from across the country for our annual SheBiz conference and showcased the journey from high school to first role in capital markets. Students were excited and engaged throughout the conference -- asking great questions, posting to social media, and continually expressing how useful they found the content. A big thank you to our panelists for sharing their experiences and inspiring more high school students to pursue careers in Capital Markets. 

Professional Profiles Student Portal - We launched our professional profiles during SheBiz. The portal features women working across Capital Markets and will help students learn more about potential career paths and the diversity in backgrounds of people currently working in the industry. McGill Desautels Women in Business - WCM's CEO Camilla Sutton, volunteers Sabrina Wu and Keren Beletsky spoke to members of McGill's Desautels Women in Business organization as part of a panel on the diversity of Capital Markets career paths, the tools necessary to succeed in the field, and experiences as women working in Capital Markets.

Armstrong Wolfe WCOOC Leadership Forum - WCM CEO Camilla Sutton joined an esteemed panel of financial experts, including WCM Board Members Malcolm Lang and Deland Kamanga, to discuss renewed diversity strategies to address gaps in representation with Armstrong Wolfe's WCOOC community. 

PRI Digital Forum -  Camilla Sutton, WCM's CEO, was a panelist as part of PRI's Americas Digital Forum. Camilla and fellow panelists addressed the myth of meritocracy in hiring and promotion practices and how investors are addressing these issues in their organisations and portfolios. 

Ivey Leadership Forum - WCM's CEO was thrilled to present to the engaged students at the Ivey Leadership Forum. Get ready, the next generation is incredible and are going to add so much to capital markets.
