Scotiabank STEM WCM Internship lunch - we were happy to host a lunch for STEM degree graduates who are now candidates embarking on impactful capital markets careers at Scotiabank. Kudos to Scotiabank for this innovative and thoughtful partnership program that we manage together. 

Executive Leaders Program Kickoff - together with our coaching partner Susan Richardson of Felix Global, we kicked off the 2020 executive leaders cohort this week.  This group has begun their six months of dedicated training and coaching, offering skill development that will support their progression to the highest ranks in their careers while establishing lasting ties though this niche community. 

International Women's Day- we are gearing up for IWD by putting a spotlight on the industry's commitment in driving diversity, today and everyday. On March 5th join us as we host Bank of Canada Governor Stephen S. Poloz for an Economic Progress Report, uniting professionals across all genders and industries on topics of innovation, diversity and the economy.  Additionally we are encouraging our network and beyond to take a stance and join the movement. University of Waterloo - WCM hosted 20 incredible students from the University of Waterloo as an introduction to WCM, capital markets and Bay Street. WCM Aspire- we hosted our third program session with a powerful professional panel that offered participants take-aways on how to successfully advocate and negotiate for yourself in your career.

WCM Victoria Chapter- through our partnered event series with CFA Society Victoria and BCI, we hosted executive coach Susan Richardson, who offered a full room of industry professionals, her insights into how you can effectively own, build and grow a successful career.

WCM UniConnect Victoria-  hosted a second event led by Susan Richardson who led our west coast university community in a skill build discussion on how to craft and communicate your own personal brand, through this partnered event series.

University  of Ottawa alumni - Diversity is top of  mind for this alumni group who hosted our CEO Camilla Sutton for a fireside chat with Julie Barker-Merz on ways in which we can truly accelerate change. 

CPPIB, who is making incredible gains with its D&I strategy, invited our CEO Camilla Sutton to speak on WCM's latest research. A diverse crowd of 100 professionals joined to hear how equality is at the core of success.  

WCM in the media- WCM's President and CEO Camilla Sutton provided expert comments to the CBC and Globe and Mail this week on new developments in diversity; as well as Wealth Professionals profiling of our CEO and the important work WCM does. Camilla Sutton continues to be an excellent example of hustle as she works tirelessly advocating for change through her thought leadership on industry wide stages and in the media.
