To the WCM community,

After 8 years of wonderful work and commitment to championing the mission of equity, diversity and inclusion in Canadian finance, our Chief Strategy Officer, Katie Squires-Thompson, will be leaving WCM, effective April 18, 2022.

Katie’s ED&I knowledge and expertise have profoundly shaped WCM. During her tenure, she delivered multiple marquee reports on ED&I that have been invaluable resources for the finance industry. She held several senior roles at WCM, including Director of Marketing, Director of Western Operations, Interim CEO, and Chief Strategy Officer.  Katie’s work and passion leave an indelible impression on our team, our community, and the industry as a whole.

“Watching the organization's growth has been a wonderful experience,” said Katie Squires-Thompson, “I am proud to have been part of that growth while working with many passionate and talented individuals over the years. For over 25 years, the organization has nurtured and supported the growth of ED&I in finance. I look forward to seeing WCM continue to move the dial on research and advocacy.”

Although she will be dearly missed, we wish her the absolute best in her future endeavours and look forward to following the success of her career.
