Executive Leaders Award- Last week we announced the 2020 recipients of the WCM Executive Leaders Award. These winners will benefit from professional coaching and training, intended to support their advancement to the highest ranks of their professional careers.
WCM new partner IMCO- we are thrilled to welcome our newest, collaborative partner, Investment Management Corporation of Ontario to our robust group of corporate partners. We had a great kick-off meeting and loved hearing their commitment to diversity, including new features to come in 2020 like the introduction of a gender-neutral bathroom.
Bank of Canada event- we will host Bank of Canada Governor Stephen S. Poloz for an Economic Progress Report, following an important interest rate announcement on March 5 for a lunch event. We welcome professionals across all industries and all genders to this important event.
The 2020 Macroeconomic Outlook - WCM advocate, Managing Director, Global Chief Economist and Head of Macroeconomic Strategy, Frances Donald wowed a full room of industry professionals with her engaging and impressively delivered macroeconomic outlook, including her view of housing, inflation and central banks; giving our members great insight for the 12 months to come.
Emerging Leaders - in full swing, this group of program participants have hit the ground running in a group coaching session held this week by executive coach extraordinaire, Susan Richardson.
WCM Victoria- is thrilled to welcome newly appointed WCM Victoria Chapter Steering Committee Co-Chair Jen Scharien.
Volunteer with WCM- If you are keen to pay it forward, offer your time in a thought leadership capacity or in other ways, we will keep our community up to date and host all WCM volunteer opportunities in our newsroom.
WCM & CFA Society Toronto Scholarship Award - The Selection Committee - is putting their final scores on the WCM and CFA Society Toronto scholarship winners. Stay tuned for our announcement next week.
WCM Professional Mentorship Program - A few stats on our mentorship program worth sharing: 140 pairs for 280 participants, Scotiabank and TD both have over 40 participants; we also have pairs across Canada and in every chapter with 10 who have joined Advanceability.
WCM University Mentorship Program- A few stats on our university mentorship program worth sharing: 106 pairs for a total of 212 participants with the largest participation from University of Toronto, Ivey Business School, University of Calgary, Queens University and McMaster University.
WCM Calgary - The Calgary chapter celebrated the new year with a night that was good for the soul, charging up for a 2020 of further progress and hustle.
