By WCM | October 17, 2019

offering young women unique access into the exciting world of stem and business

On Tuesday October 15, over 100 female high school students joined WCM for a free, day long conference created to educate and inspire young women on the exciting disciplines of Business and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). With an agenda packed with diverse content and lead by incredible industry experts and though leaders, students were left energized, curious and interested in planning their future academic paths.

Four core takeaways that WCMSheBiz delivers to female high school students:

  1. Exposure and insights into the importance of STEM academics through high school and in planning for university program selection;
  2. Visibility and first hand information from industry experts on careers in finance, accounting, technology, engineering, science and entrepreneurship, as well as access to female role models in these fields;
  3. Opportunity to join the WCM community that supports young women with student programming and resources that continue into university and into their professional careers;
  4. A highlighted commitment from WCM gold sponsor firms and event sponsors toward diversity and inclusion and how they are shaping their organizations to support this generation of young women.
