Canada and the G20

Government of Canada | December 03, 2018

From November 30 to December 1, leaders from G20 countries convened in Argentina to discuss the future of work, the development of infrastructure, a sustainable food future, and gender mainstreaming.

At the G20 Summit, Canada continued to promote actions and solutions that enable all people to participate equally in, and benefit fully from, economic, political and social life

Argentina's 2018 G20 agenda committed to:

  • Continuing to advance women’s economic empowerment;
  • Working towards the elimination of gender disparities in the labour force, specifically those related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM);
  • Increasing digital and financial inclusion;
  • Working toward the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence
