In 2018, Egon Zehnder surveyed large company boards across 44 countries to go beyond the numbers and look at who really serves on these boards. A summary of their findings: 84.9% of large company boards across 44 countries included at least one woman among their directors; 20.4% of all directors in the countries studied are women — up from 13.6% six years ago; and women hold only 20.4% of boardroom positions globally.
