WCM is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1995. We execute our mission through:

Our partners include the major Canadian bank-owned dealers, independent and foreign dealers, asset managers, insurance firms, major pension plans, regulatory agencies, exchanges, and advisory firms. Our community of 3,500 professional and student members makes WCM the largest network of professionals in Canadian finance who have come together to vote for increased equity, diversity and inclusion.

    • Educating female students about the rewarding career opportunities in business and finance. Our high school and university programming inspires and empowers the next generation of female leaders by offering students exposure into the world of finance;
    • Our professional programming offers exceptional professional development and networking opportunities to women at all stages of their careers; supporting the advancement of women into more senior leadership roles and solutioning for increased retention of top female talent in the industry;
    • WCM’s members only job board hosts career opportunities and internships for all career level women and university students;
    • Our board-ready directory profiles executive women eligible to sit on a number of Board of Directors, increasing the representation of women on Canadian boards;
    • Renowned returnship program Return to Bay Street relaunches and retains top female talent in our industry;
    • Our mentorship program exemplifies the power of the human relationship. Mentors have the chance to give back in supporting the growth and development of a protegees goals and professional aspirations.
