Jette Tam

Senior Manager, Capital Markets Campus Recruitment, BMO Capital Markets

Jette Tam currently leads BMO Capital Market Campus Recruitment team that hires early student talent across Canada for investment banking, corporate banking, global markets (sales & trading), equity research, and office of the COO opportunities. She initially joined BMO in late 2018, with a focus hiring early talent for the investment banking group in Canada. Prior to joining BMO, Jette was a part of The Boston Consulting Group's Canadian recruitment team. During her time with BCG, Jette has recruited for top-tier talent from local and international campus programs, along with growing BCG's experienced industry and mobility hiring initiatives. Previous to joining BCG, Jette was a Talent Acquisition Specialist with Michael Page International, recruiting for a variety of different roles in consumer goods, retail, industrial, and professional services across Canada.
In her spare time, Jette loves to spend time walking her dog, travelling, discovering new restaurants and antiquing.

Aaron Kadey

Origin Merchant Partners

Aaron is a first-year Associate at Origin Merchant Partners. Aaron joined Origin Merchant Partners as an Analyst in March 2021. Prior to joining Origin, Aaron was a Senior Associate at KPMG in the Financial Due Diligence, Deal Advisory group. Aaron has assisted and advised clients on M&A and financing transactions in numerous industries including healthcare, transportation, oil & gas, and industrial manufacturing. He received his CPA designation in 2020 and holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.

Brandon Newell

Executive Director, Financial Solutions Global Markets, CIBC

Brandon Newell is an Executive Director of Financial Solutions within the Global Markets segment at CIBC Capital Markets where he is responsible for the fixed income cash, credit, and derivatives business in Vancouver. Brandon manages institutional relationships with a focus on Treasuries, Mortgage Originators, Insurance Companies, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, and other Real and Alternative Asset Managers. Brandon began his career on the sell side at CIBC in June 2012 after concluding a one year contract at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan within their Tactical Asset Allocation, Investments division where he was part of the Equity Products group that specialized in trading volatility as an asset class. Brandon is active in several community care initiatives at CIBC, including the United Way Campaign, Movember, One for Change, Miracle Day, and the CIBC Annual Squash Tournament for Run for the Cure, which he helped originate. He is also a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion and has served in multiple capacities at Women in Capital Markets with a focus on men’s engagement. He is currently seated as Co-Chair of the WCM Vancouver Chapter Steering Committee. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Finance from Saint Mary’s University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Gord McCullough

Vice President, Talent Management, Onex

Gord is responsible for leading global Talent Acquisition activities across Onex in support of the firm’s continued growth. This includes overseeing the full life cycle of attracting, selecting and acquiring the right talent; executive search; pipeline strategy; assessment; employer brand; DEI recruiting; and internal mobility. In addition, Gord is the HR Business Partner for Onex Credit and Gluskin Sheff. Prior to joining Onex, Gord held management roles with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in Toronto and London. Previously, he was a consultant with a global executive search firm leading a variety of mandates including C-Suite roles across sectors and for Private Equity-backed organizations. Gord started his career in corporate banking and public policy research. Gord holds degrees from the University of British Columbia. He is also trained in conducting the Hogan personality and leadership assessment.

Talent Acquisition Consultant, iA Financial Group

Nicole-Marie Lum currently works as a Talent Acquisition Consultant at iA Financial Group, one of Canada’s largest health and life insurance companies. In her role she is responsible for recruitment of Professional and Management roles across Canada. Prior to her role with iA Financial Group, Nicole worked in numerous industries including: gaming & hospitality, the provincial government and mining. Having obtained her BCom from UBC’s Sauder School of Business, where she specialized in Human Resources Management with a Minor in English Literature, Nicole has gone on to obtain her Life Coaching Certification as well as her CPHR. In her free time, she enjoys exploring all of the amazing restaurants Vancouver has to offer, eating way too much dessert and as a result biking and running along the Seawall.

Swati Sriram

Manager, Early Talent Acquisition CM, Royal Bank of Canada

Swati is the Canada Early Talent team manager supporting I&TS and Capital Markets. Prior to joining RBC in June 2021, Swati designed and led campus recruitment and channel management strategies in New York and Singapore for Credit Suisse, where she covered Investment Banking and Capital Markets (APAC, Latin America and North America), Private Banking and Wealth Management (Australia and India) and Risk Management (APAC ex India).

Valeria Nunez

Manager, Talent Acquisition, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Valeria (Val) Nunez is a Manager, Talent Acquisition, part of the People & Culture team at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and leads the recruitment initiatives for experienced hires in the corporate function teams at Teachers’. Valeria brings over 10 years of extensive knowledge in recruitment having worked in both corporate and search firm environments. Prior to 2017, she worked at Aimia Inc/Aeroplan where she was a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner co-leading recruitment for the Canadian region.

Valeria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Western University and a certificate in Human Resource Management from Sheridan College.
