Why I'm involved with WCM

I am inspired and motivated by WCM’s commitment to invest in, educate and inspire women in capital markets. I am confident that together we can change the misconceptions about what a career in capital markets entails – and encourage the next generation of female leaders! WCM’s reach across Canada is tremendous, and its continuous support and advocacy for women, at all stages of their careers, truly motivates me give back and help women realize their full potential in this exciting and evolving industry.

Why I'm Involved with WCM

WCM is a unique platform to meet skilled and talented women working within Capital Markets and provides the tools to help women reveal their talent, equip them to communicate their ambition and propel their career. Being part of such inspiring initiatives to promote women to become leaders is not only rewarding on a personal level but is also a step forward towards new opportunities for the industry. I want to encourage talented women to achieve their full potential and to contribute to the advancement of women within this complex industry. It is quite fulfilling to see the changes occurring in recent years and being part of that movement has always been very important to me.

Why I am involved with WCM: 

Being at the early stage of my career, I thrive at the opportunity of meeting and learn from the women who succeed in the industry and try to make it better every day for the next generation of women. With my experience, I realized that one of the reasons why there were fewer women, was maybe a lack of knowledge of what this industry can offer. By joining WCM and its UniConnect committee, I hope I can inspire and educate students to consider a job in finance.

Why I'm involved with WCM: 

I’m involved with WCM as I want to empower younger women and encourage them to learn about the opportunities that exist in the finance industry. Alongside a group of inspiring and like-minded women, I want to help WCM drive change in the industry.

Why I'm involved with WCM: 

Women in Capital Markets has a wonderful platform encouraging young women to pursue a career in finance. The opportunity to connect with and learn from successful female leaders motivates me to share my passion for STEM with others. WCM is making huge strides in improving the presence of women in the finance industry and I look forward to helping to extend their influence.

I am motivated to narrow the gender gap in terms of participation and pay which will ultimately result in economic and societal benefits

Why I'm involved in WCM:

WCM is a positive and visible force for diversity within Capital Markets. As an Ambassador, I look forward to furthering the organization’s advocacy and encouraging women to pursue a career in our industry.

Why I'm involved with WCM
In the upper echelons of financial management and investment services, female workers have long been notoriously scarce and historically underrepresented. When it comes to balancing gender equality, finance has simply not kept pace with many other professional fields. My mission is to contribute to the acceleration of equality in Finance.

Why I am involved with WCM: 

I have decided to get involved with WCM because I’ve always found that young women are not aware of what a career in capital markets can offer them. They often think that it’s what you see on TV and that it wouldn’t be a fit for them. I believe it is extremely important to educate the next generation and attract the best talent to our industry. I also fell into Capital Markets by chance and wish someone would have enlightened me on all the career possibilities.

Why I'm Involved with WCM

I am truly motivated by WCM’s mission. I believe that by leveraging the special interaction between advocates and aspiring professionals, we can impact their perspective on capital markets at an early, yet pivotal moment in their careers. I view WCM as uniquely positioned to shed light on the fulfilling opportunities offered by our industry, to nurture diverse talents and to serve as a catalyst for growth to everyone’s benefit.
