WCM| December 21, 2018

Congratulations to WCM's 2019 Executive Leaders Award Recipients!

WCM is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 WCM Executive Leaders Award Program. The annual Award, now in its 12th year, recognizes professional women in capital markets who have demonstrated a commitment to career development, have been recognized by their firms as high potential and who have proven their ability to assume leadership roles. This award is made possible by the significant commitment our gold sponsor firms have made to diversity and inclusion.

Our 2019 award recipients are:

  • Danielle Clements-Lewis, Scotiabank
  • Luana DiCandia, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan
  • Maria Laura Gimena, Scotiabank
  • Faiza Vassanji, National Bank Financial
  • Catherine Zhang, Scotiabank

Award recipients will each receive six months of individual career coaching with WCM’s coaching partner, Felix Global Corp.

“The WCM Executive Leaders Award is designed for ambitious senior leaders who are building out their skill level and preparing for ongoing advancement within their organizations. In turn we see this award as growing the pipeline of women moving into leadership positions and increasing diversity within capital markets,” said Camilla Sutton, CEO of Women in Capital Markets. “I congratulate the 2019 winners, who are talented, engaged, and dynamic women, making tremendous contributions to our industry.”

This unique program provides an opportunity for experienced female professionals with a minimum of 10 years’ work experience in Canadian capital markets at a WCM gold sponsor firm to accelerate their career trajectories, refine their executive skills, equip themselves to compete for progressively senior roles, and strengthen their likelihood of promotion. Since its inception in 2008, the award has recognized over 50 female leaders in capital markets.
